Mobile IT service · Greensboro area

No shop to drive to. I come to you.

Computer, Wi-Fi, and small-office support at your kitchen table or your front desk — with the price agreed before anyone touches the machine. Remote when that's faster, in person when it isn't.

Free 15-minute triage call first — some problems get solved right there.

How it works

Three steps, no mystery.

Nothing gets dropped off, boxed up, or held for a week. Your computer stays where it lives and you watch the whole thing happen.

STEP 01

Tell me what's wrong

Send the form and I'll reply the same day, usually with a short call to narrow it down before I drive out. That call is free — occasionally it's the whole fix.

STEP 02

I come out and diagnose

$89 flat at your address, or $59 remote. I find the real cause and quote a fixed repair price. Approve it and the visit fee comes off the bill.

STEP 03

Fixed, then explained

The repair, a plain-English summary of what happened, and what to do so it doesn't happen again. Usually same visit.

Repairs & one-time help

The $89 visit that pays for itself.

Most places either quote nothing until they've had your computer for a week, or bill by the hour with no ceiling. This is the opposite, and it happens at your table.

  • I bring the tools — you don't unplug or transport anything
  • A written fixed price for the repair before anything is opened
  • The $89 comes straight off that repair price when you say yes
  • Travel included throughout the core service area
  • Evening and Saturday slots for people who work weekdays
Common fixed pricesParts extra
Slow computer overhaul
$129
Virus & malware cleanup
$149
Whole-home Wi-Fi fix
$179
New PC setup & data transfer
$159
Backup set up and tested
$129
Printer or scanner rescue
$99

Add a second service on the same visit for half off the lower-priced item — the drive is already covered.

If it isn't fixed, you don't pay the labor.

If I can't solve what you hired me to solve, the labor is refunded and I'll tell you honestly who can. You keep the diagnosis notes either way.

Care plans

Stop paying for emergencies.

A repair happens after something already went wrong. A care plan is the cheaper half: updates, backups, and monitoring that quietly prevent the Saturday emergency — plus a real person who answers when something slips through.

    $49 · 30-minute remote session

    Quick Fix Remote

Screen-share from wherever you are. Good for slow computers, email trouble, printer setup, password messes, and "why does it keep doing this." If it turns out to need hands on hardware, the $49 credits toward the visit.

    Book a remote session

    $39 · Buy-it-right consultation

    Tell me what to buy

Before you spend $900 on the wrong laptop. Twenty minutes on the phone, then a short written recommendation with specific models and where to get them locally. Credited in full if I set the machine up for you.

    Ask before you buy

    Services

What I actually get called for.

    Slow or crashing PCs

Startup problems, blue screens, storage that filled up years ago.

    Wi-Fi that drops

Dead zones, weak signal in the back bedroom, mesh set up properly.

    Virus & scam cleanup

Pop-ups, hijacked browsers, and the "Microsoft called me" aftermath.

    Backups that work

Set up, tested, and verified — not just an icon in the tray.

    New computer setup

Data moved, email working, printers connected, old machine wiped safely.

    Small-office IT

Shared drives, workstations, point-of-sale, and the tech nobody documented.

    Service area

    Where I travel.

Oliver Technical Services is a mobile service — every job happens at your home, office, or job site. Travel is already included inside the core area below.

    • Greensboro · Summerfield · Oak Ridge · Jamestown
    • High Point · Kernersville · Brown Summit · Stokesdale
    • Farther out is usually possible with a small travel charge — just ask
    • Remote sessions available anywhere
    Scheduling that fits real life.

Weekday appointments start at 8am and the last slot goes out at 6pm. Saturday mornings are usually the easiest to book, and evening slots exist for people who can't take time off work. You get a two-hour arrival window, not "sometime Tuesday."

    Check availability

    Straight answers

    Before you get in touch.

Do I bring my computer to you?

No — this is a mobile service, so I come to your home or office. It saves you the trip, and diagnosing a machine on the network where the problem actually happens is usually faster and more accurate anyway.

What if you can't fix it?

You don't pay the labor. If the machine isn't worth repairing I'll say so and tell you what to buy instead — that advice is free once I'm already there.

Do I really get the $89 back?

It's credited against the repair price. If the fix is quoted at $149, you pay $149 total, not $238. It's only a standalone charge if you decide not to proceed.

Can you help without coming out?

Often, yes. Remote sessions cost $59 and solve a large share of software problems. Hardware, cabling, and Wi-Fi placement usually need someone in the room.

Is a care plan worth it for one computer?

If your computer is under three years old and nothing has ever gone wrong, probably not — reach out when it does. It pays off when you rely on the machine for work, keep irreplaceable photos or records, or don't want to think about updates and backups at all.

Are you insured, and can you work with our other vendors?

Yes to both. For business clients I'll deal directly with your internet provider, software vendors, and point-of-sale support so you're not on hold for an hour.

    Request a visit

    Tell me what's happening.

Every request gets a same-day reply, and the first 15 minutes on the phone are free once we connect. Mark it urgent and yours goes to the front of the line.

    Your address stays private.

I only ask for it once we've agreed on a time. Nothing you send here is shared, sold, or added to a mailing list.
